July has been a turning point for Auto Detailing Guide. The site now has a stronger foundation for helping people find detailers, and I have chosen the next road ahead: building a useful Route 66 discovery guide that begins here in Springfield, Missouri, and grows east and west.
This is the first ADG Monthly Journal—a straightforward update about what is live, what I am working on, and what still needs more evidence before it belongs on the public site. I would rather build the guide carefully than bolt on a shiny dashboard full of answers we have not earned yet.
A Better Foundation for Finding Detailers
ADG’s current directory system tracks 239 business records. Of those, 59 listings are public and 180 remain held for review. Holding a record back is intentional: a business should not gain public details, search claims, or special labels until the supporting information has been checked under the new ADG research standard.
The live discovery system now uses the same search and business-card foundation across the home, search, State, and City experiences. Visitors can search by a word or business name and narrow by location. The site also offers State browsing and a truthful Recently Updated area rather than pretending that limited traffic data proves what is “trending.”

Why I’m Waiting on More Filters
I want ADG to eventually help people search for useful details such as mobile service, shop service, specific detailing work, vehicle types, online booking, and other practical needs. But most of the current public listings have not yet been reviewed deeply enough for those filters to work honestly across the directory.
So the new filters are waiting while more businesses are reviewed with the new system standard. That is the right trade. On ADG, unknown does not become “no” just because a field is empty. A filter should launch only when it can return useful results without hiding good businesses or presenting guesses as facts.
The First 29 Cities on the ADG Route 66 Roadmap
The first Route 66 roadmap is a focused launch list of 29 cities across the historic road’s eight states. It is not an attempt to declare that these are the only Route 66 communities, and it is not a claim that all 29 city pages are already live. It is a practical starting line for building connected, well-researched coverage.

Springfield, Missouri, is the launch point. From there, the plan is to build connected clusters east and west instead of scattering unfinished pages across the country.
What the Roadmap Means—and What It Does Not Mean Yet
Each approved roadmap city is planned to receive useful local discovery, concise Route 66 context, and a Route 66 badge only after its relationship to the historic road is supported by reliable evidence. The larger vision may later include better service filters, traveler-oriented tools, maps, community features, and other ways to connect drivers with local detailing businesses.
Those are plans, not claims about what is live today. The current public system remains intentionally simple: search, location, State and City browsing, public business pages, and recently updated listings. No new advanced filter is being launched with this journal.
