How to Steam Clean a Car Interior Safely: Where Steam Helps and Where It Does Not
Steam can help in a car interior. It is not a universal cleaner. Heat and moisture loosen some soils. Work from dry to damp, not the other way around:
- Vacuum and remove loose debris first.

- If anything is uncertain, test an inconspicuous area and wait long enough to see whether color, texture, or adhesion changes.
- Use the least aggressive effective approach. A wipe or a dedicated cleaner may be enough.
